As you can see in “Let Him Go,” man already maintained a passion for large antlered bucks as early as 1851. A nicely pal mated 12-pointer is already aboard.

But the deer hunters decide to let the smaller buck go – seen here in front of the hunters crossing the river to their right.

Perhaps, we see here the early origins of Quality Deer Management
. . . 150 years before its time.
